Story: "Dynamite fishing" or blast fishing, describes the practice of using dynamite, home-made bombs or other explosives to stun or kill schools of fish for easy collection. This practice can be extremely destructive to the surrounding ecosystem, as the shockwaves often destroy the underlying habitat, such as coral reefs close to a coastline, that support the fish. The frequently improvised nature of the explosives used, also means danger for the fishermen as well, with accidents and injuries. It is a dangerous, and generally illegal, form of fishing. Although such practice is illegal, it remains widespread in Southeast Asia, as well as in the Aegean Sea and coastal Africa. So we shouldn't do such dangerous things, not only to protect our own lives, but also for protecting the environment. Deep in the boonies of Texas lives the religious patriot, "Redneck Joe". To feed his poor family, he's been on the hunt for more than 20 years. In the "Mission" mode, when you choose "Start Game", you take on the missions ordered by a hot and beautiful lady. Before going fishing, you must buy sufficient items and wares. When you are in a higher level, you can also upgrade your ship, which helps you to achieve more. If you can solve the quest, you will get additional money. While in "Freestyle Massacre" and "Aquarium" modes, you have more opportunities to catch fish in groups, and I think the word "massacre" is absolutely perfect. In the former one, you must collect enough fish in the required time to go through to the next level. It's more like a survival mode: player catches enough fish to be able to continue on in the game. When you go to the next level, you will get extra time to enjoy massacre. I still can't figure out how to play "Aquarium"; Fish in this mode are likely to be suicide bombings. When the target is close to other fish, you press "5". All fish in the surrounding area become victims. What a tragedy! But the games are of great fun.
The image style of "Dynamite Fishing", in my opinion, is better than the former games. It's just like comics, and when the fisherman has caught fish, he will have green eyes, and it looks very funny and vivid. During the game, I can hardly hear any music or sound, even when the bombs blast. What a pity!
Gameplay:
At the very beginning, considering the limited space in your ship, you cannot catch more fish. Later, you can buy useful items to improve. The birds in the sky are not just background, and they aren't even your friends. The remaining fish floating on the river will be their delicious dinner. Thus, you lose some money. When they are coming, you must hold your shotgun to shot them down. With the process of the game, you can get many kinds of weapons, from "small dynamite" to "big trigger dynamite", from "shotgun" to "gating gun", from "fish pheromones" to "sexy fish bombs", and even a "hydrogen bomb"! What's more, there are "treasure chests" under the water; if they are exploded, you will get extra money or other items, such as dynamites or baits.
The distance of thrown dynamites can be controlled by the duration of pressing the button "5" button. The longer you hold, the farther your throw. And when the bomb blasts under the water, the wave can also effect your boat. Nice animation! The best moment is when you explode the fish in a group, and you will see "Joe" in a good mood and eyes flaming.
Conclusion:
Despite the sound problem, the game is very good. I've never had a chance to go fishing in my city, so I'm playing such games on my phone. And I believe that dynamite fishing is probably impossible. Dynamites is dangerous, but they cannot stop our enthusiasm to go dynamite fishing!
