Just a brief note to say that the Nokia N95’s first firmware update has been posted by Nokia — but you have to do a little digging to find it. Although the 11.0.026 update is available, it’s Phone Software Updater page doesn’t yet list the N95, which seems to be because the update doesn’t currently work on all versions of the phone. To find it you, need to download the N80 or E61 updater which will then find the N95 update (if your handset is compatible).
There are various stability and performance improvements in the update, but the biggest news seems to be related to the N95’s camera. Various sites are reporting a major improvement in image quality, decreasing issues with colour and image over-sharpening.
